This, my friends, is what we call a reading slump. Although I am part of the way through several other books, I only officially finished one book in the entire month of June.
And the winner is .....
Glow ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
You can read my review for this book below. This is the fourth book of the series, so there are spoilers for previous books. But there are NO spoilers for this book in the review.

Glow by Raven Kennedy

After Auren's power explodes in fifth kingdom and she kills Midas with her gold, Slade has no choice but to rot her to save her life. Safe in fourth kingdom, Slade and Auren battle their guilt and their feelings for each other. However, a new threat is on the horizon as the royalty of Orea try to blame Auren not only for the death of King Midas but for stealing his powers. Slade doesn't know how he can keep Auren safe but he knows one thing: he will be the villain if he must.
I wanted to like this book. I really really did. I rated Gleam 5 stars and I had such high expectations for Glow. But this book was long, focusing on a lot of character backstory, alternate viewpoint characters, and plot build-up with nothing really ... happening.
Of course, I still love Slade Ravinger and all of his wicked Fae self. The sex scenes are deliciously filthy and his burn-the-world villain vibes are wonderful.
The last 20% of the book was (finally) action-packed, filled with twists and turns that make me hopeful for the final installment of the series: Gold. However, taken alone, this book just didn't do it for me.
⭐️ I gave this 3.75 stars
