Alessandra has always been passionate about language and words. She grew up devouring fantasy books and doodling maps in her journals when she was supposed to be playing outside. Now, she writes stories about snarky heroines, cruel gods, and a whole lot of dark, crazy chaos. When she isn’t torturing her characters on page, she works as a speech pathologist helping children become confident communicators. She lives near Boston, MA with her husband and three little gremlins (yes, she fed them after midnight).
Her debut novel DIVINE CARNAGE is coming out in 2027 with Bloomsbury Archer.
MY STORY
I have always been a writer, from an early age crafting notebooks of unfinished stories, lots of angsty teenage poetry, and some pretty nice hand-drawn maps.
I attended undergrad at Princeton University where I studied religion and linguistics, both of which have found a place in my novels. I live outside of Boston with my husband, three kids, and three cats --two feral chaos monsters and one grumpy fluff ball.
I am represented by Grace Demyan at Harvey Klinger Literary Agency, and I'm currently working on more unhinged dark fantasy stories for readers to enjoy.
Fantasy is, and always will be, my first love. A very small subset of my favorite books include SABRIEL (Garth Nix), BROKEN EARTH TRILOGY (N.K. Jemisin), GIDEON THE NINTH (Tamysn Muir), MISTBORN (Brandon Sanderson), and VICIOUS (V.E. Schwab).
